The Foundation
(Intro to Mahjong)
In our introductory course, you will learn how to identify the tiles, read the National Mahjongg League card, and how to play the game. Even if you have taken a beginner class in the past, our Foundation is an excellent refresher course. Recommended for all who are interested in learning how to play. Scheduled as a three-hour course.
The Guided Table
(Guided Play)
The best way to actually reinforce what you learned in our Foundation class is to attend our Guided Table. We have tables set up, NMJL cards available to borrow, and copies of our handouts. During your guided play session, an instructor is walking around the room, helping you play the game. We are firm believers playing in person (and often) is what helps the information “stick” from your beginner class.
The Open Table
(Open Play)
Are you a seasoned mahjong player? Maybe you play a lot, but your mahjong friends aren’t available when you are able to play. The Open Table is for those players who need no instruction, but would like to meet some new Mahjong friends. We have everything you need; tiles, mat, and racks all set up to play. All you need to bring is your NMJL card. This is a great way for seasoned players and new players to make mahjong friends in your community!

Signature Events include joint events we have with small businesses and specialty 919 Mahj Club Events (launch parties, seasonal celebrations, etc.). We love celebrating small businesses and help them grow their customer base.
